VISIT TO SCHOOLS IN THE NETHERLANDS
Erkide, the Cooperative Federation, organised a visit to schools in the Netherlands. Iņaki Zubeldia and Andone Ruiz attended as representatives of Olabide Ikastola, from March 1st to 8th.
There are various basic reasons for choosing the Netherlands: its consistently good results in PISA evaluations (2003 and 2006), the structure of its education system, the work carried out in multi- and inter-cultural education, the work carried out in quality control and the fact that they are some years ahead of us in dealing with violence at school, a phenomenon we are increasingly facing.
We hope through this visit to get to know the general organisation and experience of an education system which gets good results.
